On a blog roll!!!

Well as you know I love cooking cupcakes and making cupcake cards. I have already posted my all time favourite cupcake card from Convention. Some of the cupcakes are popped up for dimension and this is done with the Cupcake Stampin’ Around Wheel.

Some of the girls from work wanted some wedding cards and this is one I came up with. I think it’s cute.

My bestest friend is having a baby any day now. She is due tomorrow. Last weekend we spent a couple hours on Sunday whipping up her baby announcements. They turned  out great 20 cards plus a few extra non baby cards in 3 hours! That is super stamping. So now we are just waiting for the baby.
Peek-a-boo card

It is amazing! I worked all day long 12 hours and had the busiest day. I looked after a really sick baby today, kept me on my toes all day. The day went so quick. I should be heading to bed before another 12 hour day shift. But I really felt like posting more cards. So maybe I can turn into a good blogger???? It might just happen. I might run out of cards to post soon . This means Tuesday will be a whole day of stampin’. I can try out some of the mini catalogue products.

Cheers

Pretty Inspirational

I am very sad to admit that I bought a Pretty’s kit at the start of last year’s catalogue. I have had the kit for over a year and I just couldn’t figure out what to do with the kit. My down line Julia Quinn couldn’t  believe that I hadn’t used any of the kit as she had already finished one kit. So I finally came up with few idea’s using the kit. I really struggled to come up with these cards but I think they turned out OK. I really like the one below, the background is embossed on the textured cardstock and I love this effect.

I have just had 4 days off and I was going to try and post everyday. Now I am back to work tomorrow and I only posted once! My photo’s actually uploaded very quickly today which is amazing. So instead of posting I actually got a very big job done yesterday. I finally cleaned and organised my craft room. I will take some photo’s of my craft room as this might only happen once in a blue moon!!!

Beary Fun!!!

This post is for my good friend Gail Kirby. We have been going to several craft shows with our Stampin’ Up! businesses over the past three years. At each show Gail always said ‘don’t leave me alone or I will spend money’. She ends up buying more stamps. I always say, ‘Gail will you use them, do you really need more stamps’???? I always end up buying bear making kits and never seem to every make any bears. So Gail will give me a hard time about buying all these bear kits and never making any bears. I think I was up to about 6 kits sitting in my sewing box! Finally, I have now made three bears (2bears and a duck). So this means I can buy more kits at the July Quilt and Craft Show! So I thought I would share my sewing skills and show off my duck and bear. These were for my neice and nephew and I was meant to make them when they were first born. I was very busy in April making bears and  birthday cakes for Shaemus’s 2nd birthday and Rhiannon’s 1st birthday. You see, I am not just a stamper.

She really liked the Chocolate Cake a lot!!! Of course Aunty Nome got her the party dress!!!

I have been doing a lot of stamping and scrapbooking this past month. All I need to do is post some of my creations, that seems easier said then done.  So I am now on a few days off so I am going to try and post all my creations.
Happy Stampin’, Cake eating and Bear Making.

Convention Awards Night

The best thing to happen on our second day of convention is I WON a door prize. I have been to four Stampin’ Up! Conventions and three regional seminars and I have never won a door prize before. So I was so excited to win something, even if it isn’t a stamp set high on my wish list it is a FREE stamp set. i-won-a-free-stamp-set1

It was so great to catch up with my good friend Jo Eades who signed up with Stampin’ Up! in the early days. We were so excited to catch up!

Oh, yes my partner in crime Gail Kirby, fellow craft show manager and my first room mate at the Sydney convention. I had dinner the Friday night with Gail and her team the Gail Force Stampers.  Now there is something in their name, they really are a force to be reckoned with and insisted on walking me to the door step after dinner.

Tiffany, Julia Quinn, Shellie the Guru and Me. I just have to comment on how wonderful Julia looked in her dress, she never usually wears dresses but given she won her first award at convention she really needed a good frock for the occasion and the cutest pair of shoes.

Above is Amanda from Demonstrator support. I haven’t seen Amanda since our first convention in Sydney. It was so good to catch up with her!!!

Below is Julia in her fab dress getting her 20K sales award. Julia was my very first demonstrator who joined my team and I am so proud of her achievements over the last three years!!!

Now talking about being proud, one of my other original team members Janine Rawlins also achieved some amazing things this  year!! A sales award, Leadership Award, The incentive trip and she was in a state of shock for being number 20  demonstrator of the year out of 1700 demonstrators in Australia! Great work Janine!!!

I also have to say congratulations to Jenny, Maureen, Juliana and Simone who also won sales awards and Simone also won a recruiting award. I am so proud of our little group. Here is my little group. I told Aaron I think there should be an award for the best dressed group as my group would win it for sure, you know like a fashion’s on the field award!

What a great week end and I am so lucky to have such great women in my Stampin’ Up! Team. We had such a fun time stamping and getting to know each other a little more!!!

Well I am really inspired to stamp stamp stamp oh and also have a couple of workshops if anyone wants one???

Stampin’Up! Convention Canberra 2009

Stampin’ Up! events are so much fun and half the fun is preparing to go to the event. This year I actually got time to put some of my idea’s into action. I usually have so many great idea’s but not always time to do them. I wanted to give all the girls in my team something special for coming to convention. I  made them there own convention note books with matching micro bead pen and a little purse full of goodies to help them enjoy convention. The little purse included some coffee mix, mints, tissues and chocolates. Tissues are a must as Shellie’s talks usually result in some tears. We had a team dinner the Thursday night. What was amazing is all 10 members of my team, who came to convention managed to get together for dinner,  as well as three husbands. It was so nice to meet some of my level 3 downline for the first time (Juliana, Maureen and Tracy). I had seen their names on my downline reports and even talked to some of them on the phone so it was so nice to finally meet them, and of course catch up with my team members who have become such great support and friends over the last three years.

This is Maureen’s gifts for convention.

Thursday Night Team Dinner

team-dinner

We are all ready for day one, with our  amazing convention bags which I LOVE.  My most favourite thing this year has been how nice the convention bag is.

ready-for-day-1

I haven’t taken photo’s of our make and takes from day one but I will do that tomorrow. They are super cute.  So day one we had some great seminars on Wise Investments (in your Stampin’ Up! business, not the stock  market). Spread the Word with the guest speaker was my good friend Kim Givarrha. We also went to the Lead the Way seminar which is designed for Uplines. To finish off the first day we had some mocktales at the managers reception. It was so nice to mingle with other demonstrators at the Managers Reception. I didn’t actually take any photo’s of that. I actually only took a few photo’s the whole convention, not like me I know!!! My room mate Rebecca was the photographer for convention so some of the photo’s are thanks to her!

More to come…………

Cheers

Easter Wishes

Happy Easter!!! I didn’t get to do any Easter workshops which is such a pity as I love making easter cards and baskets. But I did make some cards for the kids who are spending Easter in the ICU at the Mater Children’s. After being really busy at work for the past few weeks we ended up only have 4 patients. I made about 14 cards!!! I didn’t end up having to work but I did go in and for the baby’s I did their foot print embossed on the inside of the card.

Going, Going, Almost Gone!!!

I don’t know what is more shocking the fact that last weekend I made over 60 cards!!! Or the fact that I am actually posting some of my creations!!! I was sick all last weekend and what’s a girl to do when she is sick and can’t go to work??? Watch movies and make cards! I was beginning to feel like I own thousand’s of dollars worth of Stampin’ Up! products and since I moved to Queensland I really haven’t been using it at all. Of course I go and order more stuff that I also haven’t used and it keeps piling up. So with a few days of the Summer mini catalogue left I thought I better put some ink to some of those stamps before they retire for good. I have to say that although I was sick I really enjoyed making all these cards. I didn’t look at any blogs or splitcoast stampers for inspiration, I just stamped. One of the girls from work has been asking to buy some of my cards. I didn’t want to just sell her stuff that wasn’t all that great so most of these cards I made doubles and triples so I can keep a copy and then sell some as well.

“For Father” set of three stamps.

I really wanted this set because of the tool box. My dad and brother are Carpenters and this stamp is perfect to make cards for them both. I really don’t love the dog card. Considering I made 60 cards and their is only one card that I don’t really like that is pretty good going !

“Big on Spring”  Set of three stamps.

This is one set that I just had to have. So I finally used it and I love all of these cards!!!

Case it Saturday!!! On one of the yahoo groups I am a member of  they have a Case it Saturday challenge. This first card below was made by Karen Wood’s one of my friends and fellow Stampin’ Up! demonstrators as a demonstration at the Melbourne Stitches & Craft Show. I just loved the little purse idea using the tab punch. I am also very in love with the Designer Series Paper Ginger Blossom and Bali Breeze both in our Summer mini catalogue. I ordered several packets of this paper because I love it so much. I am goingto make a wedding scrapbook for my friend Nerida with this paper.

I do have a few more stamp sets from the Summer mini catalogue that haven’t had ink applied to the stamps but seems these stamps are going to be in our new catalogue I figured I have a whole year to ink them up!!! I will also post some of my creations with our new stamps but this is a really long post so I might post them tomorrow!

Cheers,

I have to say it is really good to be stamping again. Now all I need is a few workshops to show off my creations.

WOW it’s February!!! I have been back from my extended holiday for almost two months now!!! What have been doing, NOT STAMPING! I spent Christmas with my family up on the sunny coast. I headed to Melbourne for my friend Margot Wedding and I have now moved in to my own place! So now I can stamp. I thought I should post a couple pictures from my trip as I honestly haven’t done anything with Stampin’ Up! since September! My first stop was to Canada which of course meant a small bit of stamping with my two favourite Stampin’ Up! demonstrators Julie Dinn and Carolynn Sander. Julie was showing us her new toy this Big Shot. Now I have not purchased or used any cutting system so it was very cool to see this in action! Julie and Carolynn are always so good at giving me inspiration the only problem is that it was in September and I can’t remember what I was inspired to do. Surely it will come back to me.  Oh, and this is a nice picture of me before I gained my Europe KG’s 4kg in fact and I am still struggling to loose them, can’t fit into my work pants! To much of a good thing, is NOT a good thing!!!

Love
Naomi
