I’ve Been tagged twice!

I have been tagged twice by my friends Sarah  http://www.sarahklass.com/   and Keesha http://www.makeeshabyl.com.au/ . Thanks girls. I am flat out updating my blog let alone doing something that will involve me to think.  So here I go…………………

1. Link your tagger and list these rules on your blog.

2. Share 7 facts about yourself on your blog, some random, some weird.

3. Tag 7 people at the end of your post by leaving their names as well as links to their blogs.

4. Let them know they have been tagged by leaving a comment on their blog

Ok 7 things about me.

1. My biggest dream has always been to swim with Dolphins. I loved Dolphins growing up and had posters ornaments and all sorts of Dolphin stuff. So in 2004 when I was in Mexico I got to swim with Dolphins and it was amazing. Mind you it would have been so much better to do it in the wild but in a tourist resort was the next best thing.

2.  I am extremely flexible and can still do the splits at the age of 28! No I never did gymnastics but I did dance for 10 years.

3. I always wanted to be nurse since I was in grade 3 and was admitted to Nambour Hospital with a respiratory virus. The nurses were horrible to me and my mum had to leave me three nights in a row and I  cried so much I would throw up. This is when I decided I wanted to be a nice kids nurse. My favourite book growing up was Doctor Duck and Nurse Swan. So I am now Nurse Swan. I am a really nice paediatric nurse because of my own childhood experience.

4. My Grandma died when I was 6 years old. I have been told that I get all my creative, crafty talents from her and I am a lot like her (even untidy like she was). I think she is always watching over me as one of my angels.

5. I first went to Calgary when I was 15 in 1994 on a school music tour playing the Sax. I moved to Calgary in 2001 (sweet 21) and moved back to Australia in 2006. The best thing about living in Calgary was all the great friends I made while I lived there.

6. I have been friends with Nerida since I was 3 years old. Even today she is still there for me whenever I need her. She is a true friend.

7. I hosted my very first Stampin’ Up! party in June 2004 in Calgary, Alberta, Canada. My party total was $1200 and I have never had a workshop that totalled that much since. I joined Stampin’ Up! in Calgary October 2004 and I haven’t looked back. I was the 10th demonstrator to sign up in Australia.

That is 7 random things about ME. Now it is your turn……………..

Here I am !!!

I know I am not very good at keeping this up to date but here I am!!!! I have actually made some cards  for once which is amazing. Life has been busy since I moved to Queensland. I have started a brand new job and are trying to get my Stampin’ Up! business off and running. One of my good friends from high school is helping me get things off the ground by having a couple of workshops for me. She isn’t all that interested in stamping but she is happy to host a couple workshops for me which is great. So I think I might do these cards at her workshop this weekend. I am totally in love with our new In colour range, which is what I have used on these three cards. Purely Pomegranate is my new favourite colour! I have also been doing some scrapbooking because I have some spare time on my hands (photo’s to come).

Stamp set - Short & Sweet

Stamp Set - Voila ( I think this might be my new favourite set)

Stamps - So Swirly

Cheers

Stampin’ Up! Convention 2008

Stampin’ Up! Events are always so much fun. Get 300 women together who love to stamp and create and love to chat and it is a fun filled weekend. I saw lots of great new project idea’s from all the great new products in our 2008-2009 idea’s book and catalogue. I am inspired to stamp and create, now all I need is some spare time and some Queensland Customers! I think the best thing about Stampin’ Up! events is meeting up with old friends and making new friends at the convention and this was no exception.

This is a photo of the session called Paper, Pad and Markers. We were stamping the colour charts of the four colour families, neutral and the new In-colour range. I just thought it was so amazing to see this many women all lined up in a row and stamping. We were only stamping an little square but I thought this was the coolest sight. It looks like a STAMPEDE of STAMPERS.

Our convention bag fits in with our DREAM BIG theme. I loved seeing all these blue bags all lined up in a row! I was trying to be creative with my photo’s.

This is my good friend Sarah Klass we were so excited to earn the incentive trip to Palm Cove North Queensland. We wore our badges we earned with pride. Sarah lives in Perth and is a very talented stamper. She is a little more of a perfectionist than me, I was in trouble for helping her with her colour chart and not sticking the square on straight! Ha ha! Visit her blog as she is truly amazing with her projects. www.sarahklass.com

This is my downline who could attend convention. I actually currently have 26 members of the Creative Nomes Down Under but only a few of us could make convention. This is Julia, Me, Simone, Tiffany and in the front row Melissa and Nikki. We had so much fun between the stamping and maybe a little drinking, it was a great weekend.

These are my Sunny Coast Girls, Julia and Tiffany below.

This is Venessa Web, Venessa also earnt the incentive trip. I am looking forward to spending more time with Venessa in Palm Cove.

More pics to come.

Cheers

Cards for the Kids

My friend Liz from the Childrens Hospital came over last week to help me make the Easter Cards for our unit at the Royal Childrens Hospital PICU. We made 15 cards in two and a half hours. I was very impressed with our efforts. These were our creations. We also made tags for inside the card to emboss the baby’s foot print on it. I forgot to take a photo of this but they looked super cute. I think I like Easter Cards almost more than Christmas Cards, well bunny’s are super cute and I like the colours.

You Don’t need a mini van to be a Stampin’ Up! Demo

Well this was after five days at the Stitches & Craft show. I must admit, I was a little naughty. I bought two stamps from another stamp company. I have never done that in four years as a Stampin’ Up! demonstrator. I also bought two bear making kits. The funny thing about this is I haven’t actually made the bear for my nephew that I bought at last years Stitches & Craft Show. But I have good intentions this year! I have to get Shameus’s bear made before the next baby comes (only 6 weeks away).

stitches-last-day.jpg

The whole stand from the Stitches & Craft show all fits into my Golf, so you don’t need a mini van to be a Stampin’ Up! Demonstrator. I actually pack much light for workshops, only two bags! But this was a five day show.

This is everything you need to run a stand at a craft show, plus five days of hands on workshops!
